Lovely capture of the Holly Blue with half open wings showing both upper and undersides very nicely. Even though the wing is a bit out of focus you show the markings well and I like its pose on the leaf. Well done!

Hallo Marie,

Jammer dat de hele vlindervleugels (vooral de blauwe kleur zal schitterend zijn) niet te zien is, maar geeft niet. Dit is ondanks dit kleine gemis, een hele haarscherpe foto. Als ik de mooie antennes en de ogen zie. In een woord schitterend. Te hopen voor je dat er nog zo'n kans komt. Klasse werk afgeleverd. Groeten en tot TFS BOB

Bonsoir voisine,
Je pensais que tu étais en vacances..mais te voilà avec un azuré bien mignon. Il y a juste un petit manque de netteté au premier plan, je pense que tu as voulu faire ressortir le magnifique bleu de ses ailes. J'ai photographié plusieurs azurés ces derniers temps et je n'arrive pas à trouver l'ID.A force de compter point et traits,je n'y vois plus rien..

Delightful image of this extremely pretty Holly Blue, Marie.
The specimen you have shot is very healthy and gorgeous to look at.
Very well captured image that gives the impression of a third dimension and shows the colours and patterns on both sides of its wings.
I too had shot this butterfly in the hills two years ago.
