[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Silver-bordered Fritillary gets its name from its very distinctive light colored border. This species is a wetland butterfly, and is found in moister areas than the Meadow Fritillary.

Identifying characteristics: Above this species is orange with black spots and a light, silver-colored border on both the upper and the hindwing. Below, on the hindwing, this species has a reddish-orange color with a row of white dots near the margin and other conspicuous white markings throughout.

Seabird, boreocypriensis, vanderschelden, flashpoint, Christopher_PL has marked this note useful

Hi Ton,
what a beautiful shot. Both butterflies are captured sharp and detailed.
They stand out very well against the beautiful green background.
Nice POV.

Hello Ton,
An excellent shot of a pair of Silver-bordered Fritillary in a symetrically composition. DOF and lighting are perfect too. TFS.
Cheers,

Bayram

Hello Ton,
I guess the hindwing could be even more specific or distinctive compared to the border.
It's well composed through this symmetry of the tow Silver-bordered Fritillary butterflies.
The perch is bit out of the depth of field. Nicely one background.
