[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Banded Darter, like most members of the genus, has a red abdomen. Its primary distinguishing feature however is the presence of broad black bands across the outer section of each wing. It is similar in size to the Black Darter (35-40mm), sharing the broad hindwings and black legs.

Hi Ton

An amazing shot and a superb capture! In fact, your entire gallery is full of outstanding macros (and not only). My compliments!

This is a great composition and a shot with a wonderful feel to it.
The details are very neat and sharp, the exposure is superbly controlled and the DOF is great. I particularly like the dew on its wings and body...lovely detail!

Bravo and TFS

Hi Ton,

Hallo Ton,

Hi Ton!

I like this almost abstract, for sure very artistic and beatiful picture very much. The lighting is as superb as the colours. I believe this picture is very original and changes in a pleasant manner to what we usually see on TN.

Kind regards

Markus

Hello Ton,
Perfect image! All the conditions of this photo couldn't be any better. The hidden sun creating the silhouete is gorgeous.
