[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I came across this spider today while taking a hike through the local forest. It was very close to the waterfront that I found this one, but I have no idea about the species of this spider.
The photo was taken with a flash mounted on the side of the camera with my 200mm macro lens. The image was sligthly cropped to brinf the spider (about 5mm in real life) to the foreground.

Hi Mike looks like a one of the wolf spiders, a female carrying her egg sack. Not sure which one as there are a lot of them, you some times see them in large groups which is why they were named wolf spiders because it looks like they are hunting in packs.
the body is very nicely detailed, only the leg ends OOF. the fash seems to have light the scene with-out too many over bright areas. TFS

This is a species from Lycosidae family.
Great capture althought the background maybe too detailed. Anyway, a nice shot.
