[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After a while of inactivity on the photo front I found some time to visit a butterfly garden in the province of Zeeland in the South-West of the Netherlands. It is the Berkenhof garden in the village of Kwadendamme. I had a very nice day there and made a lot of shots of beautiful butterflies. I hope to find the time to publish some of them in the coming period.

This one, I think, is a Pachliopta Aristolochiae. It lives in South-East Asia. The caterpillars of this species live on a poison plant. The caterpillars eat this plant and are as such also poisonous to insecteaters. Their colour pattern emits the message that they are poisonous. Other species imitate their colour pattern.

Bienvenido nuevamente Jan... y con una excelente imagen de una maravillosa mariposa.
Gran composicion a partir de una muy buena agudeza, colorido y profundidad, además de un iluminación que le aporta a la imagen una atmósfera especial y un efecto 3D.

Hi Jan, welcome back. Lovely butterfly you posted. It must be huge, even at F13 the tip just started to drop out of the DOF. I agree with Ricardo it has a 3D sense to it. Nice one.

Hi Jan, welcome back. Very nice picture of a very nice butterfly. I like the POV from underneath. Very good work.

Lovely image, Jan. Exposure, focus, DOF are all great. I do find the white area between the wings to be a bit distracting. Otherwise is a top-notch photo!
