[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
What we see here is a detail of the Attacus Atlas I posted a few days ago (see Here). I took this shot to study the comb like sensors of moths. is Atlas moth is holding on to the cocoon in the top righthand corner. Furthermore it is possible to see the eyes (?) between the legs.
Once again I am impressed by the sharpness and contrast of the Canon macro lens.

An amazing headshot.
Great detail of the comb and the large eye.
It looks a bit like a rabbit!
A good shot,well done.

A good complement of your precedent post, Jan. Very sharp.
I would have rotate it 90 clockwise (see WS) for more impact but it is personnal. Good work!

Trumendeous clarity and quite freaky character your moth ! Nice geometry in shape but most outsanding by far are the great fern like antenae of this silky beast.

Jan, I'm impressed also! This is a great POV with the details of the combs, head & forelegs superb. I especially like the eye & the actual pupil seen so well. Well done!

Yes,superb clarity,and an interesting POV.You've done a terriffic job here,Jan.
I'm not sure that moths have eyes with pupils, though.More likely compound eyes, although they do look like pupils...very strange.

Impressive. I prefer the rotated version.

Excelente macro por agudeza y nitidez además de una adecuada iluminacion.
Coincido con hvr_oosterzele sobre la mejor presentacion de la imagen rotada.

Excellent macro by sharpness and clearness in addition to adapted illumination.
I agree with hvr_oosterzele on the best presentation of the rotated image.

This guy looks like a witch-docter to me. Stunning detail and he has a real no nonsense look in the eyes. Very well captured.

Thanks for posting
