That ability to 'close of its ears' might come in very handy if only we could do that. Very well captured moment. Did Jaap growl at them that they both look towards your left side? Tell him not to scare the poor little animals (chuckle).

It's funny how these two look synchronized. They look so friendly and innocent, but from a documentary series aired over TV here in recent weeks I found out that they fight fiercely among the families whose ranges overlap. Well, even within the family they are able to outcast a member and force him or her to live on their own which significantly diminishes chances for survival. Regards,

Nicely done. I don't think I have seen a really bad image of a Meerkat, must be because they seem to be quite photogenic. You did well here, great detail and I love the pose..looking over their shoulder towards you.

This is a difficult shot for the camera as all the tones are similar yet you got a very sharp, focused shot. I just love these guys they look like they are going to perform a little dance !
