You can find a lot of this flowers in Holland. They give a little colour along highways and ditches.
They look very fragile and mostly when you touch them the fall apart.
I like them, hope you will to

Hi Kristi
Beautiful composition. Great colours and POV.
Well done

Hello Kristy,
Nice shot! The strong red colour of poppy look great on the blue BG. I like the POV and framing. They are simple but effective. I think DOF could have been a little wider though. It seems that only edges of petals are in focus.
Overall, well done on this one!

Hello
Very nice capture of this poppy.Wildflowers growing along roadsides can be so beautiful if we stop and look at them.I am glad you took the time to share with us.The red is stunning against the blue sky.

Hi Kristy, I like the POV of this shot. The exposure is spot on, resulting in lovely colours for both poppy and sky. I do think more DOF would be good as then you'd get the bristles on the poppy stem in too. Great composition, well done :)

nice shot - colours are great and exposure and composition spot on.
Others have mentioned the DOF which I will ditto,
One thought on the matter which might help you a touch is that when you select your point of focus remember that within the DOF (might be 30mm), 1/3 (10mm) in front of the DOF will be in focus, and 2/3rd (20mm) behind it. This means that can usually get the stem in focus as well as all the petals without the poppy moving too much in the wind...
