The male abdomen without auricles on segment 2; with a single inferior anal appendage.

Nymphs. The nymphs stout, the body expanded in the middle; when mature, 23–25.5 mm long.

The prementum bearing three (rarely two or four) long setae inserted near each lateral margin, and two medial fields of seven to eight short spiniform setae, the latter flanked by four setae of medium length. The body of the labial palps bearing (6–)7 major setae. Distal margins of the labial palps weakly crenate. Legs longer than the abdomen.

The abdomen terminating in five short spine-like appendages. The cerci no more than hald the length of the paraprocts. The abdomen with mid-dorsal spines. The mid-dorsal abdominal spines prominent on segments 3 to 6. The abdomen without a mid-dorsal spine on segment 8; gizzard with 4–8 folds.

here for the whole interesting note

yes this I made with a new camera. Why a new camera would you ask yourself. Well let I be honost. I had a very bad butterfly seisoen. And the dragons where also very late and the are a little crasy, because they would not go sit easy. So I have got not much chances to made a good shot. so I try it with this tool and I like the quick shot, and it is very easy to come close, whithout to look through your SLR. I hope you like it to.

I like the composition and DOF too.
I hope you give your DSRL another chance.
Well done, my friend.

Hi Jaap.excllent colors, BG POV DOF perfect framing. TFS Kyle

Hi Jaap,

Really interesting POV. Globally nice picture ;-)
I just would say that the DOF is a little too large and the subject mixes up with the background.
TFS.

Serge

Hi Jaap

Hi Jaap.
I also like them big, in the middle and into DOF :)
It is a complex image, but after some seconds of looking at it it becomes extremely clear. Well done, my friend.

Hi Jaap,
An excellent shot on this Black-tailed Skimmer. Very well saturated colors and sharp detail from the spot on exposure.
That camera will certainly create more DOF. There is almost to much DOF here. Looks great though!
Scott

Dag Jaap,

Prettig weekend,
John

Hello Jaap,
A lovely shot you have here, the low POV makes it look very big! Excellent detail and colours, and although the background is very busy I like it, it seems to work well. Great work from you again.

Adrian

Dag Jaap.
Staat er prima op, overal scherp en een mooie POV. Beetje jammer van de drukke achtergrond waardoor de vleugels niet zo uitkomen maar al met al een mooie plaat.

Hi Jaap,
superb serie of dragonflies. Here all is ok. Good quality. I like this work.
Rgs, Aleksander

Whoa! Super POV from below the fly!! Makes a great photo into a magnificent one! Amazingly deep DOF as well, everything is in focus! The background looks slightly over-exposed but it's still a fantastic photo.
My second 'favourite' today!
