This year I pictured no hoverfly! It´s a bad year for hoverflies in Eastwestfalia. I am missing some white flowers! :-(

What I wanted to say:
In the first time I were here you wrote a critique to me that I should buy a good camera and a Macro-Lens to have more fun with my hobby. So it was you giving me the enthusiasm for Macro-shots with the new EOS. This changed so many things in my life, I love to be in Nature, I don't have fear any longer to come closer to wasps or bees. It's wonderful - so I have to say thank you for this little sentence that changed so many things. Thanks thanks thanks.

Deze heeft u mooi te pakken had, juist op het goede moment, ik ben blij een foto te zien met een ISO 800 waarvan de korrel bijna volledig is verdwenen, en de focus bijna midden van het insect komt, dit zijn schitterende macro's waar ik u liefst zie in werken, dit is werkelijk uw handels merk!

this is a good close-up with good POV and composition.
I think I'm the only one who don't think the details are that good it could be, you miss the small details with this high ISO. The DOF is a bit shallow but nice colours.

Hi Jaap

Seems like your experimentation paid of lovely dividends plus considering the fact that this was shot with ISO800 selection it is really quite an amazing result. You managed to contain the noise levels very well to a minimum for what might be expected at this ISO setting.

The macro is great with excellent DOF and details. A lovely composition with good colours and spot-on exposure.
