I found this very good note, thank you.

Well my friends this is another experiment from me the tamron 90 mm macro lens with a tamron 2x AF teleconverter. This hawker is a very differcult to photograph one because this big one is almost always flying or hanging into a high tree, or just behind the gras unther a tine. And mostly they fly away on the moment that you see them. By this one I could made just one shot and I must say it's a good shot, but it give my only one chance for taking a shot. I hope you like it too.

Well done my friend

Avond Jaap,
't Is een goeie naar mijn besheiden mening. De 'dragonfly' zit ingewerkt in de bladeren en komt terzelfdertijd goed tot uiting. Wat ook belangrijk is hier de scherpte van het diertje.
En dat is er...
Van mij alleen positieve elementen...
Groeten
Annick

Hallo Jaap,
although very sharply presented, the dragonfly is hardly visible and well disguised by their colour and structure. It often happened to me that suddenly a dragonfly started up just beside me when walking through the vegetation in search of insects.
Thus, well observed and captured in an excellent way.
Best wishes, Peter

Hello Jaap,
congratis for this experiment! Fantastic macro lens with teleconverter! Yes this pictures is very good my friend. I like it!

Dag Jaap.
Ben zelf al een hele poos bezig om een bruine glazenmaker vast te leggen maar ze willen niet gaan zitten. Jou is het wel gelukt en op een erg mooie manier. Ik vind dit zelf één van de mooiste die in Nederland rondvliegen.
Gr. Hans

Hi Jaap,
First I want to thank you for your comment on my work, it is very appreciated. This picture is very interesting by its unsusual POV :-) Details, lightning, composition and DOF are very good too. The light seems so bright and it doesn't affect your subject which is well exposed. This is well seen and well done. Thanks and see you around,
Claudine

bonjour carper
sur la vignette je ne l'avais pas vu,preuve qu'elle devait etre bien cachée,vous avec eu l'oeil pour tirer ce cliché.bravo.

Hello Jaap,
You made the most of your one chance I think, it's a great shot. Great detail, especially so for a 2x TC, I've never used a 2x but I've never heard anybody say anything good about them either :-) Great colours here too, I think the light is a little harsh but not much can be done about that. Excellent work and keep up the experiments!

Adrian

Hallo Jaap,

Mooi werk.

Groeten,
John

Hello Jaap !
You got only shot if this beautiful dragon, but what a beautiful one ! The composition and POV are really excellent, you have good details and beautiful natural colors. I like the eyes of this dragon, brown and blue. He must be very difficult to see in the nature, his camouflage is excellent. Very well done !
Valérie.

Sharpness, details and notes are good.
Compo is a little confused.

Hello Jaap,
extreme close up wioth an excellent DOF. Details, sharpness and POV are wonderful.

Hi Jaap,
sure - you were very lucky to see this mighty and wonderful dragon.
And I'm lucky that I found it - I were in holidays and missed a lot of good shots.
I love this one - the eyes are so impressive!
I also saw such a one today - but even with the Sigma 100-300 and a Teleconverter 1:7 it was too far awas high in the tree ;-(
So I'm happy to see it so close and sharp here at your wonderful shot, thanks and bye bye

Hi Jaap.
You have captured a very unusual and original scene. A variety of subjects (leaves), paints, light and shadow make strong emotional impression. DOF and POV are excellent. I like the details of your picture too.

I consider that the combination of macro lens (my KM 100 mm) and teleconverter 2x is excellent. I wish you to take pleasure in creative application of this equipment.

My compliments and TFS.
Alexei.
