I like the contrast of values in this shot, Niek. The grasses are sort of positives and negatives rather than straight reflections. Nice work.

Hoi Niek,

De reflectie is prachtig en de compositie ook. Naar mijn smaak is de belichting een beetje gek (was het misschien een hele sombere dag?) of er zit wat teveel contrast in de foto. Het is wel een erg mooi plaatje. TFS!

the water is very still and gives a better 'image' since it is silhouette..

Nice work, excellent composed and capture work, the reflection of the grass and the sky is awsome, It apears to me from the yellowish tent of the photo a worming or sepia tone filter was applyed, anyhow the effects are relly graet Nice Job,

That is a very interesting experiment, Niek, and a very successful one at that. : )
I am amazed at how crisp the details are, even in the reflections.
Although everything is in sepia, you have managed to have a very wide range of values in the tones and light in the grasses and in the water.
I like it very much.

Hoi Niek,

Een ander soort foto van je, maar zeker niet minder.
Hele mooie reflectie in het water van het gras, maar ook heel subtiel de wolken rechtsonder, mooi!
Goed idee om het sephia effect te gebruiken, het geeft de foto een nostalgisch uiterlijk.
Ik vind het een mooi plaatje :-)

I like what you have done here Niek.. and the Sepia effect is good, but I find myself drawn more to the reflection than to the actual top half and was wondering if the top half has enough contrast....

I like what you`ve done here! The colour effect is really creating a strong and contrasty reflection!
Very interesting way of processing an image. Im inpired by the way you see different ways of portraying a photo and that you also have the "gut" to go trough with it - as most people would just go along the do-it-like-everybody-else way.

Niek,
This is one of the, "the" most unusual registers I've ever seen.
The title, perhaps, could have said: "PEACEFUL REFLECTION." Via the calmness of the liquid even the clouds above it have found its way into this BEAUTIFUL
image. Great clarity. Well presented & composed.
