[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Two swan families met each other and a big territory fight followed. I was so close by that I could cover the whole fight. WOW that is really impressive!
I must admit that I interfered three times by throwing some mud. Otherwise I think one of them was killed.
Both are father of a family of 3 and 6 youngsters and there is more then enough space for all of them.
They fight like real wrestlers. They catch each other by the neck and the left one was stronger and bend the neck with head under water. Then he climbs on the back and the other one sinks and nearly got drowned.

Today on Treklens: Portret of the swan with duck-weed.

Because the swan story will end in short time I am thinking of publishing a book. Does any of you has experience with it and maybe have useful contacts?

Hello Hendrik,
this is a wonderful action shot, great timing, just as those two bids are entwined with both heads very well visible to the camera. Excellent detail and the ligh is wonderful.
