Hoi Jaap! Jij ook een hele fijne jaarwisseling toegewenst. Je weet het he? --> Vuurwerk, op de grond, niet in de hond! :) Dit is een mooie macro. Scherpe details en prachtige kleuren. Ruisvrij en een prima achtergrond die het insect prima laat uitkomen. Goed note ook, zoals altijd.

Hoverfly is really beauty. The decorate our life as well as nice hoverfly shots. I like your POV so much. We can see all details which make this insect beautiful. Excellent rich colours, exposure and contrast. Blurriness and colour tones of the BG are so beautiful as the hoverfly. May be f-number is fast a bit. May be I am simply extreme and prefer extreme values of aperture. However, you have shared a very nice macro shot. TFS and my best regards.

Een super mooie macro met prachtige kleuren en compositie. Scherpte en diafragma hadden ietsjes beter gemogen, maar verder is dit een prachtige foto.

One of your great macro my friend with your old and for my adored Pro1.

I like it a lot: composition, POV, background, DOF, colors, focus, sharpness, lighting, framing, PP and notes.

I don't like it: nothing to grumble.

Imposing capture with great sense aesthetic and great technical quality.

A great macro you have here, especially considerring the camera used for taking it.
Indeed this is a beautiful insect - the hoverfly - and you show it very well in your photo.
The details are very nice and sharp, the natural colors are amazing and the DOF is great.
Beautiful framing and composition, too.

Superb macro shot, the POV and composition are excellent and I love the pose with the Hoverfly holding one of the Flower stamens, the details are nice and sharp and I really like the vivid colours.

Als men van kwaliteit spreekt, wel hier mag men gerust dit woord gebruiken, de ogen zijn wel niet tezien, maar het lichaam darentegen is zeer mooi, echt gefocusd op de juiste plaats, en de achtergrond is gewoonweg geschilderd door een kunstenaar, Jaap dit kan ik niet dus geniet ik van uw werk!

Hi Jaap

A half an hour ago it turned 00h00 and that means it is now the 1st of January 2007 here in South Africa. Wow, how time has flown. It was just the other day when the whole world had millennium fever as 2000 arrived and here we sit exactly 7 years later.

What an awesome shot my friend. Not only the lovely little hover fly, but the total package is just brilliant. Magnificent details as a result from a great DOF, stunning colours on the fly while the flowers match perfectly with the fabulous BG, and the exposure was perfect.

Hi Jaap, good shot. The composition is good and the exposure isn't too bad although there are a couple of bright patches. Perhaps the focus could be a little better but I realsie how small these are and you probably cropped a fair amount for this. Well done and Happy New Year.

This is a very good picture, the POV, exposure and colors are excellent. The sharpness too is. But personally i would have preffered more space towards the left (head side)
