[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken at the same nature reserve as my previous two landscape photos. This are used to be a wild and unaccessable area. But then people started to explore the richness of the peat as a fuel. Man complete ruined the area. No trees or grasses were growing here, just rows of ditches and ploughed ground. When oil became the most used fuel, this area was left alone and slowly mother nature reclaimed what was hers. The result, a paradise for birds, insects and snakes. But the area is an ecological wonder. Just outside the reserve, agriculture thrives on ground which lies lower. As you know water wants to go to the lowest parts, with the result that this area will dry out. For that reason people intervene and created small dams and floodgates to manage the level of the water.

mooie diepte foto Niek.
Het probleem kind is al een klein beetje ingedamd denk ik zo.
Prachtige sfeer, goed perspectief, heel fraai werk.

A little melancholic and a wonderful place.
You can look and relax, that's good, thanks

Hi Niek,

This is a nice image accompanied by an interesting note. No camouflaged lead lines here! One can't help but zip to the farthest point. I really like the sharp foreground grasses. The touch of green in the otherwise almost monochromatic image adds interest. It is a sharp well exposed image. Thanks for sharing it and the information too.

Hoi Niek,

Interesting story behind the photo Niek. The FG grasses are a nice addition to the overall composition.

Hi Niek,
A very nice landscape. The vertical format was a nice choice to emphasize the water in this scene. The low light has allowed rih color saturation. Detail and DOF look great. Sounds like a nice place for photography. well done!
Scott

Hello Niek,
this is a great shot, I like the low POV a lot. The vertival line of the river pulls the eye into the photo and adds a lot of depth.
Very nice scenery and colors.
