While waiting to get some new pictures worht posting here, I decided to look in my folders for some older pictures lying around. This picture was taken last summer, when I was camping in Jondal, Hardanger. After a long day of walking I set the tent up near a little water. 30 feet from the shoreline of the water is a 600 feet drop overlooking the scenery in the picture. As the sun went down, you can imagine what a special feeling it was to stand up there looking at the sunset, with the only sound heard from a little waterfall splashing down the drop. This is what I would want to do every day if I had the chance, it is so relaxing and beautiful. It is not easy to capture such a moment on camera, but this is what came out of it. Just sit back and relax for a few minutes while looking at it :) Thats what I did..!
Post processing: Sharpening the mountain a bit (I didn`t use a tripod), a small amount of dodging and burning the clouds and water. Resizing and framing - Voila :) |

Hi Torbjorn,
Another great photo with a beautiful setting sun. I like the minimal reflection in the water and the several layers of mountains drawing my eyes toward the setting sun. The sky has some wonderful colors and the shape of the clouds are very interesting.

Lovely capture there Tobjorn.
The water with a touch of colour in it in the foreground is excellent and I really like the colours in the sky. It sounds a great place to camp and relax.
