The Valdresflya in Norway is one of my most favourite places. Here you find a very spectaculair landscape.
The highest point is 1.389 m. Not that high, you should think, but take in rememberance that the closer you go to the pole, the lower the mountains are and also the tree line is lower than in Middle Europe.

The Valdresflya is a small mountain plateau situated east of the Jotunheimen National Park, a beautiful mountain area. The road 51 which is crossing this area is only open in summertime, because of the weather conditions.
When you are lucky and the sun is shining you can enjoy the ever changing scenery. Blankets of clouds are rapidly passing by because of the very strong winds on the plateau.
On this picture you can see this fantastic clouds formations covering the rough, poor and unspoiled landscape.
I used a polarizer to stress the white clouds against the sky.

Yes, Ruud, this is a very spectacular landscape.
Very good DOF. That blue mountain in the BG is wonderful, just under the clouds.
A very nice presentation. Congratulations.

Hoi Ruud, prachtige landschaps foto. Mooie collectie "postings" heb je inmiddels bij elkaar. Ben benieuwd naar jou ervaring van de d70 en lensgebruik. Het virus heeft mij inmiddels ook gegrepen maar er valt nog een hoop te leren.
Groetjes Reina

Spectacular lanscape shot with large DOF and nice FG elements (stones) to create that nice 3D effect. Very well done!
Regards,
Gabi

Hi Ruud,

I like this landscape too. It really gives one the feeling of wildness. If it were my image I think I would add a touch of contrast to the foreground to perk it up a little...because the polarized blue sky with the strong contrasting white clouds are so dynamic I feel it might add a little more balance...but it is not my image and it is beautiful as you presented it.
