Blue Reflection

This picture was taken in the Frogner Park in Oslo. We had been out in the park all day with friends, and the sun was setting. We decided to head for home, and on the way we passed this little pond with some ducks in it. The water was perfectly still and the reflection of the forest was just awsome. Unfortunately I didn`t have my tripod with me, so I tried to rest the camera on the bridge I was standing on. However, it is apparent that I suffered from some camera shake. Now... I have learned from this, and in addition to the tripod I rarely bring with me on trips, I bought a monopod, which helps me a lot.
Post processing involved cooling the colours a bit and adding a graduated filter to the sky. I also had to give som light to the ducks, as they were otherwise too dark to distinguish.
Well, even if it int perfectly sharp, I still think that the picture is nice, and has a sort of calm feeling about it. |

Hi Torbjorn,
What a beautiful photo with a very good gradient color in the sky and reflection. It is pitty that you ahd to do so much work in PP, but the result is very stunning. Sharpness can be created by using USM. But with shots like this super sharpness is not needed, because not much details are visable. I'll show you with a WS what you can do on USM.

Hello Torbjorn,
Isn't it fun that you can save an image like this with pp? It is really nice and between what you did and Niek's sharpening it is really stunning. I love the colors and the ducks in the foreground are super!
Thanks for sharing.
