Hi Markus,
this is a lovely photo and like you say it is fresh.There is nothing wrong with this image you got it right.I wish that you could of done a large post of it as that would be great for the added detail.I hope someday people will wake up and see what they do to our good old planet before it gets to be to late.We need to show nature the proper respect to be sure.Thanks for showing this beautiful place. Hello Markus,
Wonderful capture of this northern landscape which is very familiar to us in Sweden. It looks very idyllic and I like the composition and the reflections in the smooth water. There is only one snag with this kind of landscape - most of the pine forests are huge plantations these days and there is very little flora and fauna left in such forests.
Luckily we have some National Parks and Nature Reserves to preserve diversity.

a calm shot set in a nice wide format. this leads the eye around in a less exacting way than a square format.

The good side light really makes the details in the landscape stand out, and the calm waters gives a fine reflection...

Hi markus,
This is very beautiful! The lighting and reflection are just marvelous. This photo really brings up the comment to say... I want to be there and see it for myself. Actually, I whished I made this magnificent photo. Love the details and clarity in the photo. After a while I noticed that there are two cabins in the photo. I wouldn't mind having one as a holiday retreat.

As population growth is out of control I more and more think that the world would probably do just fine without all of us humans! I hate seeing all my own "paradises" eaten up by human developments. I think your image may have lost some contrast/saturation in the upload though it still is a lovely image of a lovely place indeed. I tried an alternate crop in a workshop for fun and practice. I wanted to see what the effect would be to put the island and bright trees in the one third position. I like the way the trees and their reflections point to the little sunlit chalet.

As a side note I have looked through your photos and many seem to have a blue cast to them. It may well be my uncalibrated monitor thou :)

a very soft and calm environment. Great reflection and could feel very peaceful around there.

The island looks like a delightful place. I love the way the water surrounds the chalet and the reflection in the water is just like a mirror. A very tranquil setting...even though there are humans around.
