Marvelous! This is so intense with the wing angle and the focus of the eye. I am not 100% sure about the cropping... it has something to do with the balance in the picture. Maybe there should be a bit more space below and to the left of the bird?

Can you please share your experience with this lens as I am planning to buy one of this focal length quite soon?

I just wish you wrote a bit about the Photoshop work on this great photo

Hi Paul,
Great shot! This really emphasises the wingspan of the bird at full stretch. I like the POV and framing of the shot.
I agree the cropping is a little tight on the bottom but still, nice photo!

I really like the birds angle of flight here, dynamic.
The vertical frame works very well also. Good detail, exposure, DOF, and the sky BG is GREAT! :)
PS - I did a quick WS to remove the blue cast from the bird.
