Wonderful sunset, you did well to underexpose and keep the detail in the brightest parts of the sky, lovely silhoutted trees too really add to the picture!

Dramatic sky Pablo..great shot even with the exposure problems.
A good composition with the large tree left, and the minimized tree line running across the bottom in silhouette :)

Here Pablo..and I suspect there as well, the addition of light comes up higher at evening than in morning..and then evens out. I wonder what shall happen this year to our biological clocks in the US. We have decided to move the time period and extend daylight savings time. It will be darker a bit int eh morning and that is ok for I am retired and do not have to go to work, but I am normally an early go to bed person...with the birds sining the sun down...we shall see....a fine way to present a solar activity Pablo, both in understandable words and in image.

Hello Pablo,
Beautiful scene captured at sunset with fine contours of the pine forest and a lonely tree. Beautiful light and colours and wonderful cloud formations. It looks cold though! - It's very warm here too and I also remember February as the coldest, that's when we had loads of snow in Stockholm and as children we spent the days on our toboggans!

This is a sunrise depicted with a dramatic sky, the intense light of the sunny horizon creating just what we feel in the north: we need light in the darkness and the sooner it comes, the better.
Beautiful composition with the silhoutted trees and the sky.

Hi Pablo,
This really looks like a ominous sunset. It feels as if I do not want to know what weather mother nature is bringing next. its probably the underexposure that emphasizes it. The golden cloud along the top of the frame does bring some warmth in the photo and the shape of a beach tree is clearly recognizable.

Hi Pablo, tough lighting conditions with that bright sun, but I think you've handled it pretty well with your under exposure. Colour in this shot is great with very good detail on the clouds. I remember as a child not liking February because it definitely was the coldest month, it could be bitterly cold. +4 degrees C is like a walk in the park.

It's very interesting to hear how the day evolves there :)
But, we are the good slope - long days and more shooting options :)

The exposure in these situations is always tricky. Especially if you have the sun included in the frame. A very accurate metering is required to try and balance the strong highlights and the dark shadows.
That's probably why this photo is a little darker. Sure a filter would solve part of the problem, but i also think that it's because it is a zoom photo. If you would have shot this scene with a widest focal length, the bright would have represented a lot less of the frame.
Of course, it is 100% your choice...you could have opted for this option and then the result is still very nice and rather original.
Either way, it's a superb sunset and a nice shot, full of atmosphere.

Also in Belgium have we no winter the last two days are all record broken on February 12 with 16.3° Celsius, incredible in February!
It small part light to the sky make of this picture a nice contrast in these dark days about your country.

Very nice, dramatic landscape, perfect underexposure. Even if it's summer now (on the northern hemisphere), is good to see (for me) winter landscapes. Most of all if they're as wonderful as this one.
Congrats for this great capture full of silhouettes. Unfortunately, temperature IS rising here in Hungary, too, we're already having hot mediterranean summers with very few rain, and warm winters with temperature often above zero, and with few amount of snow. Sin against Gaia.
