Hi all!

We are here in very special art gallery. It's open to all, the entrance is free, the artist well known under the name "nature".

Please come in and look at what this artist is able to do. The subject today is "Movement".

Ooops, sorry, did I forget to tell that you must take your shoes off? Every 10 secs or so a wave is breaking in and kisses your feet.

You're missing the last picture you saw a couple of seconds ago? Sorry, pictures change here at the rhythm of the sea and the waves: the water comes in, floods "your" picture and leaves another one behind...

And all this for free! Just be patient, stand steady on your feet, point your camera and shoot as many pictures as you want. But not too many... It'll be hard, later at home, to make up your choice. They are all beautiful...

Maybe I'll show you some more another day. You must know, it is the richest art gallery of the world!

***

Taken in RAW, barefoot, no tripod, very little postprocessing (still barefoot, works better...): level corrections, sharpness, and that's it.

The picture was taken in Norway on one of the very few sandy beaches. If I remeber well, it was on the island of Giske.

The black and grey part is... petrol! But I don't know if it's pollution or if it's natural.

Kind regards

Markus

Nice picture, Markus!
The wave is cold, so I can't stay here for a while, but I hope to see another picture soon.

Hi Markus,
I was already impressed with the your sand series from your site, but this one tops it. The wave motion from the pertrol is pure art. I like the way it moves from left to right. First wide then smaller and later fading out in a even wider pattern.
Your eye for these type of photos is so good, that I am glad to know you so that I can slowly learn from you.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Markus,
Very original presentation on your notes!
I admire the result of your good eye to catch this effect made by the waves on the sand.
Worry about being oil from and accident at the sea, anyway I hope dont be any serious that could menage the life there.
As a piece of art, it works great!
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Bonjour,
J'aime toujours bien ces photos abstraites de la nature qui nous changent de l'aspect plus descriptif de la plupart des envois.
Bonne journée.

well done,
tfs & regards

You know...there is no way I couldn't critique this. It is so way cool. Reminds me of the Buddhist Monks who come here from time to time and do sand painting on the sidewalks...beautiful creations and then at the end of the day sweep it all up in a philosophical and religious play...REAL street art..and here in natural form.
Bob

Lieber Markus,

Dieter

Hi Markus,
This is a very special composition. Very well seen. The colours are natural and bright, good detailed photo. I also don't know if the black parts is pollution. Nevertheless the titel "art gallery" is very well choosen.
Compliments.
Regards, Ruud

Hello Markus!
Thank you for this beautiful post, I find it very sharp looking at the grains of sand, while very smooth looking at the gradations, just like in reality. But I'm not sure if we found this beauty in your place, so thanks for showing!
And as usual your notes make it a complete piece of art.

Best regards,
Andor

Hi Markus,
So are you a photographer, or an artist that uses a camera? Not that it really matters, because th result is always the same. A small detail turned into something brave and interesting. I love it..you eye for such things continues to amaze me.

Bonsoir Markus,

Hi Markus,
the art gallery for free and the thought and the eyes to roam is also free.
The beauty is so well composed with excellent cropping and use of lines and textures.
Lovely piece of art and the defintion you used here indeed very helpful in pushing this piece of art into a splendid natural beauty.

Regards,
Foozi
