Het zwart/wit werkt goed hierzo en het geeft eens een ander blik op landschapsfotografie,fraaie contrasten ,voor mij toch nog een kleurrijke plaat,

yes, this looks better, why, very good in b&w. how about in sepia tone, like the old world images. your trip was worth enough for this image. you showed the way, what doesn't work in color may work in b&w and may be in sepia. tfs.

Hi Niek!

A typical Norwegian atmosphere... well reflected with the black and white conversion. I prefer immobile subjects for b&w, but your subject suits this technique quite well. From my point of view, the contrasts are a bit harsh, but on the other hand they represent this "Norwegian reality" quite well.

I do agree with your concept for having this shot converted to B/W! from the groomy weather in the shot I know poor is the light was!
the pov is great with depth and a good effect on the waves with the f/22!

Hi Niek,
i think that you could've made more of this spot to shoot from to be honest. Obviously you cannot control the weather or conditions, but i think perhaps composition wise, those rocks in the foreground could maybe have featured a little more prominantly, it's what the 10-20mm excels at in my opinion. Of course, this is just personal taste though i guess.
The B & W conversion has worked very well though and you made the most of the constrast in this shot - a wise choice indeed my friend.

Hi Niek,
What you deem as disappointment, to me you have rescued an unfortunate photo opportunity it some very beautiful. This black and white image has tremendous composition and the foreground rocks with the low surge on them are the highlight. Great camera work, especially like the shutter speed chosen, thanks Niek.
