One of the fine autumn days to remember, unfortunately not this year…

2009 will pass over in history as a poor autumn weather wise, wet cold and windy! Thanks for the files –

The image shows a piece of driftwood on the beach, a common sight when you visit mountain and forest lakes. What is a bit unusual here is the fact that the driftwood is the complete root system of once a quite large tree, most likely a pine.

How different things are at different places. We have a superb autumn, with many clear and sunny days.

I like your picture very much. It is particular because of the superb colours and the reflections. I also like the impression of looking at a kind of monster with a long tail that is coming out of the water. Superb!

excellent view of blueness in the water. So lively with reflection, and the wood makes a good foreground.
Real clear water and verey sharp indeed.

The mirror effect on the water of the lake is an asset to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the driftwood. It is well framed. The afternoon light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.
