[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A thunderstorm, also known as an electrical storm or a lightning storm, is a form of weather characterized by the presence of visible electrical lightning and its sound effect thunder. A thunderstorm is usually accompanied by heavy rain and sometimes snow or hail.

What we see in the image is a thunderstorm building up…

Not long after the image was taken the thunder started, followed by heavy rain. And an Internet blackout, a disconnection probably caused by strike of lightning and my problems lasted for 2 - 3 hours...

The underexposure was -1.33 EV and I used a polarizer.

Some facts:

The first stage of a thunderstorm is the cumulus stage, or developing stage. In this stage, masses of moisture are lifted upwards into the atmosphere. The trigger for this lift can be insulation heating the ground producing thermals, areas where two winds converge forcing air upwards, or where winds blow over terrain of increasing elevation.

Hi Pablo,
I have a weak spot for skies, and this one is really beautiful. I love the texture in the clouds and the beautiful light iluminating parts of it. Those also give it more depth and color contrast.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Pablo,

The point of view is showing the details and colors of the thunderstorm clouds. It is well framed. There is a good contrast between the colors of the cloud and the colors of the mountain. Have a nice day.

Pierre
