Hi Pablo,

We to have temperature above normal since the beginning of winter. In fact today is one of the first day of -8 c that we had this year. We have merely a couple of centimeters of snow on the ground and lake and rivers are barely frozen. We will have to get use to climate change.
I like the play of light on the water that jumps out of the dark surroundings. Like also the bend of the river from this POV. Good details from the snow, it is much easier to do when the sun is not bright. TFS.

Rare and beautiful photo, that seems a clear night more than a dark day. You've got a mysterious effect with the reflections over the river. I do definitely like this winter northern landscape. I think I'm goint to post a southern one:-)

Hi Pablo.
You have a very interesting effect: sensation of the heavy wet snow cover, which is underlining by free of ice river. The light's reflection on the water surface is very expressive too. Like the winter, and like is not the winter. Full of sensations picture with great composition, excellent DOF and expressive POV. My best regards and TFS.

Hi Pablo

Here and there we are starting to get word of snow falling in the northern hemisphere after so many people complained of the lack of snow during the earlier parts of the season. Funny though, once the winter hits with all its might, we will hear people saying they are tired of the snow and cold and would like the summer and heat to arrive.

I like the mood of mystery conveyed by your snowy landscape. What is lurking just outside of the view or what is beneath that reflective surface of the river? The curving river takes the eye on an interesting journey through the composition while the dead or dry shrubs obscure the view of the river somewhat. Nice colours, details, and POV.

A very intimate capture of this lanscape.
It transmits calm and serenity.
I like the overall darkness and the small bright reflections on the river.
Very good composition and a frame that goes pretty well with the picture "mood"

A very simple image, but very effective. The underexposure brights out the highlights on the water. I thought for sure you must have meant 1 a.m. 'till I looked at the exif data. Well done.

Hi Pablo,

The first snow this year in Norway, in Belgium now 10°Celsius this is extraordinarily soft, very lovely light reflections in the river, nice composition through the curve of the river, very well done!

Hi Pablo

Another lovely landscape from you!
The fresh snow did great to brighten up the atmosphere, but otherwise the reflections from the river are those that capture the viewer's eye.
I also like the composition very much with the curve that the river is taking, the POV is excellent and the DOF is great.
Very nice details, too, as well as charming, well saturated colors.

I like atmosphere those moody scenes.Lighted water-level does very nice contrast to darkened snowy landscape.Nicely composed and very well managed with light.Is pleasant see land coated snow (at our place is green grass and +11C, 600 m above sea level!).

You have an acutely perceptive eye as a photo artist, Pablo. What a beauty you have created in this ten-layered landscape shot!
The ten layers are: 1. The fresh greyish blue snow in FG 2. Leafless trees 3. Shimmering unfrozen river 4. First strip of snow/ice on the other bank 5. Thin strip of illuminated water beyond it 6. Wide slope covered in bluish grey snow 7. Stretch of dark woods all the way from right to left within the frame 8. Another snow field in the distance in the left hand top corner 9. Dim outline of a ridge beyond the field 10. Hazy low valley beyond the ridge.
A fantastic composition in the ambient light in your country at 1 p.m. on a winter day.
The shimmering river curving away to the left is the soul of this beautiful image.

Hi Pablo,
Glad to see some snow in your part of the world. It atleast looks like normal for winter. I really like the way you catched the sun in the river, giving it this beautiful splashes of gold. The composition is as always breathtaking, simple but very effective. I really like the underexposed look of the scenery.
I just heard on the news about the damage of the storms in Norway and Sweden. Are you OK?

I love the light in this picture, with the golden capture all along the river winding though the picture so effectively. It has really added a sense of mystery to this picture. And having spent Christmas and New Year in a very woody part of Sweden, I can now understand, or try to understand, your obsession with trees ;-)

Hi Pablo, Nice shot of the river flowing through the snowy banks. There are times I miss the snow, but not the shortened days. Your shot is very well composed, and the change to the exposure works well producing a very serene winter scene.
