[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello all,

Just back from my work at sea and had on christmas day the opportunity to shoot some pictures of killer whales just in front of the Norwegian coast (near Lista) when we were underway from mongstad to Rotterdam,this was one of the only sparse days with nice weather and could enjoy our christmas diner,
The shot is taken handheld from the bridgewing (about 15 mtr above sea level) on a moving vessel.

I hope everything is well with you and that work is allowing you the opportunity to shoot some more beautiful shots ust like this one :)

What a wonderful capture! I'm sure it's a thrill to see these magnificent animals in the wild.
I really like the POV of this shot and the clear details on the dorsal fins of these beauties.
The contrast withe the water is good and the exposure is very well handeled here.
Nice framing and compo, too.

Hoi Paul,
altijd een unieke ervaring om Orca's tegen te komen. Ik hoorde dat er dit jaar veel minder dan anders in de Noorse fjorden zaten. Wellicht toch meer op open zee.Het zijn een mannetje (rechts) en vrouwtje (links). De eerste orca's die ik zag waren trouwens op nederlands grondgebied, net ten zuidoosten van de doggerbank.
