[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Greater black backed gull (Larus marinus) was one of the few birds which were a bit active on a dark and cloudy day on Runde, a fantastic (bird)reserve on the coast of Norway. It didn't seem to mind the hard wind and frequent rainstorms, in fact he seemed to like it. I remember the BBC series "Trials of life" of David Attenbrough in which a Greater black backed gull caught a puffin in flight and tried to swallow it (he failed at last). These shots were also taken at Runde.

Hello Jacob,
Very nice in-flight shot of this Gull. Going on the ferry between the UK and Sweden you often see them following in the wake. They are beautiful birds! I like your vertical composition, the wings look enormous! A bit soft on focus though.
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hi Jacob

Another beautiful capture from you...but this time an in-flight.
This black backed gull look wonderful here and the POV nad pose couldn't be any better to show everybody why he was named like that ;)
The details are terrific and the colors nice, despite the rather poor lighting and "not great" light weather.
Also very nice WS photo, too, showing us exactly how beautiful that place really is.

Bravo and TFS
Horia
