[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a young adder.

During the first days of warm weather in spring it's not difficult to find them.

They spend winter in large numbers and when spring comes they stay close to their lairs for a couple of weeks because nights are still too cold for them to leave their comfy houses.

They spend their time warming themselves in the sun and hunting occasionally.
When they notice somebody's presence they slither into their burrows.

They are regarded as dangerous and aggressive (and exterminated mercilessly :( but in fact they are docile. They won't attack unless they are cornered or trodden upon which doesn't happen too often because when you get to close to them they give you hissing signals to warn you about their presence.

Nice shot! I noticed the ant on her head! Maybe if an eye was visible it would be better, but this pov shows clear the head scales.

Bardzo udana kompozycja z dosyc trudnego kata. Gratulacje dodatkowe za złapanie mrówki.
Nigdy ich nie spotkalem i troszczke mi stracha napendziles bo czasami sie wybieramy na wycieczki z malymi dziecmi.
