Description
One of the nice, large Fritillaries. maximum wingspan is about 55mm. You can fond this species at forest borders and clearings. Imago are on the fly between June and August in one generation. The specie is present in every European country.

Impressive macro shot of the dark green Fritillary! The positioning is very nice along with great sharpness and good POV. The DOF is nearly perfect. The eyes and the thorax part are very well shown. Wonderful composition!
