Great start into 2007. My favourite fungus in great composition with moss. I know what you're talking about - it is very hard to find someting to photograph last days. Anyway, I like this post and wish you and yur family all the best in 2007!

Hi Michal, I am glad you started this year with such a beautiful shot of this old Xylaria.
It might be difficult to find something nice to photograph in your area, but at last you managed a beautiful shot, I dont know why you say DOF is not good enough, I find a great DOF & BG & lights combination here, giving the photo an artistic look.

Hello Michal,
It is not easy to present a shot of this pale Stagshorn fungus so that it stands out. But by your skillful use of a blurred green Bg, the sharpness of the fungus and the composition and lighting you have made a great job.

I like it a lot: composition, POV, sharpness, colors, focus, lighting, background, framing, notes.

I like it: DOF (perhaps F6.3 or something more has been ideal).

I don't like it: nothing.

I love the point of view captured for this presentation.

Hi Michal

Indeed the new year brigs change - we and the bulgarians entered the EU, but i don't know if i'm too happy about that...
But what the new year hasn't changed is my relationship with my TN friends :) No matter from what country they are, my feeling for them will always be the same :))
I'm glad to hear you got a bit of rest and some quality time with your family.
And also to see this beautiful macro work with this Candle Snuff Fungus. The details here are impressive, the colors most charming and the DOF great.

It's an excellent comp IMHO, with effective use of your DOF. Great detail, light & color.
I think you did a fine job of finding a suitable subject in the forest, under these adverse conditions.

Hi Michal,
An excellent shot on this Staghorn Fungus. If there were water and fish, it would look like Staghorn Coral. Well done on the low light exposure. This does allow for rich color saturation. Nice detail with a well controlled DOF. Great job under less than ideal conditions.

wonderful composition, the DOF is very well choosen to give this subject very good impact, almost 3D like it pops out of the OOF BG. Very well composed with lovely colors.

Hi Michal,
Although the DOF isn't perfect I enjoy your image very much.
I like the composition a lot with the other specimen blurred in the BG. Colors are fantastic and the Fungi is spectacular!
