The Common Heath (Ematurga atomaria) is a moth of the family Geometridae. The species can be found in Europe and the Near East.The wingspan is 24-34 mm. The moths fly in one generation from May to June.
The caterpillars feed on a heather, heath and clovers.

Hello Pawel
wonderful shot of this beautiful Ematurga atomaria with very impressive sharpness, colours and details. Great hand of light and exposure. Optimal focusing and soft small copper colors contrasting on a beautiful neutral background.

Hi Pawel.
Your last insect pictures are simply amazing. I am glad that you use your perfect lens with tubes for close-up shooting. Results are very impressive. Pictured subject at the photo is sweet. Moth and leaf/stems create a fine and pleasant for look composition. BG is great, lights and colours as well as details reproduction of the moth are stunning. Especially I am impressed with reflection of its splendid antennas. Bravo.
