Yellow chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius) is a genus with many delicious and popular edible mushrooms. It is a mycorrhizal edible fungus, meaning it forms symbiotic associations with plants, making it very challenging to cultivate. Still, the yellow chanterelle is one of the most recognized edible mushrooms and can be found in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. It's cap is orange or yellow, meaty and funnel-shaped. It has forking gills on the underside, running all the way down its stalk, which tapers down seamlessly from the cap. It has a fruity smell and a peppery taste, and is considered an excellent food mushroom.

Hi Tadeusz,
Wonderful shot of this yellow coloured mushroom. I like its shape and to know that it is delicious is an extra bonus. The focus and lighting are great and your capture in its natural habitat make it look majestic. Excellent low down POV to portray them and a superb composition. Kudos.
TFS.

Excellent mushrooms for eating and cooking and a very good picture for someone who might make a mistake in picking the wrong kind. The cost of such a thing here is very expensive. Yet they do grow here after wild fires. You have a good talent and a good appetite as well I suspect.

Tadeusz! Uwielbiam kurki. Twoje foto mi o tym przypomnialo. To pierwsze grzyby, ktore nauczylem sie odrozniac, co, jak mysle dzisiaj, nie bylo wielkim wyczynem. Wzruszajaca fotografia. Darz bor!

Bon apetit :)
They look really imaculate and tasty :b
Nice capture of this beauties, lovely low POV and good colours. You isolated them nicely from the pine mess.
Thanks and regards, Felipe.

Belle photo de ces jolis champignons, de fort belle couleurs et qui nous montre bien dans quelle milieu naturel il pousse. Amitiés Thomas

Odin is moih lyubimih gribov... Srazu zahotelos poyti v les... Horoshee foto.

Hello Tadeusz,

That's a wonderful photo of an exceptionally tasty mushroom, makes me hungry! I pick them in the forest near my home in July and August.

The focus is spot on, exposure is perfect, shows the round-edged pseudo-gills very nicely.

John
