Polyommatus icarus (=Polyommatus abdon) (Rottemburg,1775)

Na spodzie przedniego skrzydła w części nasadowej występują dwie dodatkowe czarne plamki. Wierzch skrzydeł samca błękitnifioletowy. Wierzch skrzydeł samicy brunatny z pomarańczowymi plamkami przy brzegu zewnętrznym. Czasem spotykane są samice z błękitnym nalotem w nasadowej części skrzydeł.Rozpiętość skrzydeł: 28 - 32 mm

Motyle żywią się nektarem, chętnie piją płyny z wilgotnej ziemi. Noce spędzają na kwiatach i trawach siedząc głową w dół.
Gąsienice przepoczwarczają się zwykle na ziemi pod roślinami pokarmowymi.
Samice składają jaja pojedynczo na kwiatach, pąkach lub liściach roślin pokarmowych.

Hi Alina . This is fine close up of the butterfly. You have used the light so well shining through the wings. Its making the edges light up. good detail and colours. well done TFS.

Hallo Alina
You have some lovely butterfly photos in your gallery, and this Common Blue is no exception. The way you have captured this specific one, strongly reminds me of a fan that the ladies use to cool them down. You have captured the insect with great clarity and the details are well shown, here I especially refer to the big black eye and the frilly white lining around the edge of the wings. Focus, sharpness and composition is great. In fact the whole presentation is done in a very pleasant and eye-catching manner. Thanks for sharing.

Bonjour Alina,
Je découvre ta galerie à l'occasion de ta visite sur la mienne. Tes publications sont à l'opposée des miennes car pour l'instant les insectes me sont beaucoup trop difficiles à photographier et surtout à répertorier !!!
Je ne peux que reconnaître la qualité de cette macro par la finesse des détails et la délicatesse des couleurs.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
