Ringlet - Female with prominent upperside eyespots

In central Europe this is a rather widespread and common species in mature deciduous woodlands. It prefers sunny spots in woodland that is otherwise dark or with only dappled sunlight. It loves bramble blossom and can often be found in good numbers feeding at this plant.

Nice picture. Good lighting, contrast, and composition. Sharp. Doesn't look like the ringlets we have here in the U.S., except for a population in Arizona -- too many rings. Gary

Very beautiful. Nice and sharp, all over. The 'eyes' on the wings really look great. Colours are good, and it's a really great shot
