Kennzeichen:
Die Hauptfarbe der Flügeloberfläche ist samtschwarz, die Spitzen der Vorderflügel werden durch einen orangeroten Streifen abgeteilt. Außerdem weisen die Vorderflügelspitzen weiße Flecken auf. Der Saum des Hinterflügels ist ebenfalls orangerot. Unterseite dunkelbraun, schwarz und blau gesprengelt.
Größe:
50 - 60 mm Flügelspannweite
Entwicklung:
Überwintert in Südeuropa als Falter. 2 Generationen pro Jahr. Die schwarz-gelb gefärbten Raupen leben einzeln in zusammengesponnenen Blättern.
Futterpflanzen der Raupen:
Brennessel, Kratzdiestel
Verbreitung:
Heimat ist Südeuropa und Nordafrika, Nord- und Mittelamerika. Die nördlich der Alpen lebenden Falter fliegen im Mai aus Südeuropa ein.

Nie pomyslalam, zeby przyczaic sie przy marcinkach. Pieknie wyszedl admiral w towarzystwie bzyga. Kolory bardzo naturalne i takie sloneczne. Ciekawy kadr.

Gorgeous image. lovely colours. More flower at top would have looked better than all the dk blue, but that's a little too harsh in such a nice photo! Hey, love the little fella, bee/hoverfly too!

Deine Komposition ist wunderbar, die Farben natürlich und prächtig. Der Umstand, dass zwei Insekten auf deinem Bild zu sehen sind erhöht den Anreiz. Auf meinem Bildschirm (kalibriert) erscheint dein Bild ein bisschen dunkel.

Hej,
kolejna fotka z Vanessa atalanta w Twoim wydaniu. Tym razem przepiękna kompozycja, naturalne barwy pomimo użycia lampy błyskowej. Ciekawie prezentuje się też ta mała Misumena vatia po lewej stronie ( ciekawe czy miała "chrapkę" na motyla?) i Bzyg po stronie prawej. Marcinki to prawdziwa jadłodajnia dla wielu owadów.
