It is another shot from Ponidzie. My first shot of common tree frog. Unfortunately I didn’t avoid some overexposures in a very strong sun. After I try to make some shadow on a frog she decided to stop modeling ;-)

I want to dedicate this photo to a great reptile and amphibian specialist and great TN photographer Bayram Gocmen (boreocypriensis)

Common tree frog (Hyla arborea)

The European tree frogs prefer sunny forest edges, bushy heaths, wet dune pans, wet scrubland and extensively used meadows and parks with ponds rich in submerged vegetation without fish nearby. These habitats are increasingly influenced by human activity. Hyla arborea, is endangered in western Europe.

Dorsal surface is usually lime green. Ventral surface is white, dark dorsolateral stripes extend back from the eyes to the groin. Call is a distinctive krak... krak... krak... sometimes compared to a dog bark or the quack of a duck. Very often it is only this call that leads to these frogs being discovered. Adults up to 5 cm

hi krzys,
I like the way the tree frog sitting so tightly (compact), its good specimen with beautiful green. yes, its too much in the open and in bright sunlight, soft or diffused light would have made it more camouflaged in its habitat. tfs.

Brilliant shot of this cute looking green Tree Frog lounging comfortably on a wide green leaf, Chris.
Sharpness and details even on the leaf are marvellous.
This is a great image from you for which you deserve to be congratulated.
Regards.
Ram

Czesc Krzysiek!

Kurcze, ja albo niedowidzacy jestem albo mam pecha ;-) Tyle fantastycznych plazow pokazujecie na zdjeciach, a ja tylko jakas zwykla zabe do tej pory moglem sfotografowac. Ani salamandry, ani rzekotki, nic :-) Piekna jest, cala zielona i blyszczaca. Super poza. Wyglada jak maly kot :-)

A fine capture of a resting Hyla Krzysztof, your viewpoint and aperture setting are right on the spot, focusing and the chosen DOF ideal. The flanks are a little overexposed, but that is natural for a damp and shiny skin under direct sunlight. I know Bayram will love this dedication.
Cheers,
Mehmet

Hello Krzysztof,

Superb presentation of this tree frog. I like very much the composition, superb pose of the frog on the beautiful leaf. For the exposure, you did it very well, frogs have shiny skin and overexposure cannot be avoided I think, the surrounding would have been too dark otherwise. Excellent sharpness. Splendid colours.
Cheers,
Mariki

Hi Krzysztof,
This is such a funny capture. This little creature seems so comfortable on this leaf and I like this pose you captured. For me, exposure looks fine with good details and composition. Your notes are also interesting. I know that we have similar specie here as well; I hear it at night time but never had the chance to see one except in picture that one of my neighbors took. It is also a tree frog but it has red on her legs :) Thanks,
Claudine

Hello Krzys,
What a fabulous capture of this little Tree Frog. I wouldn't worry about the over exposure, the Frog looks so cosy in the bright light! :-) I love your POV and the composition is beautiful. Excellent details and colours too. Congratulations on your first Tree Frog, I envy you!

On first glance it reminds me of the Buddha:-)

Colours are even and well saturated. distinction in frog and leaf is nice both in colour and texture. Overall a pleasing and informative image with a tad of humor!

Serdecznosci,
Michal

Hi Krzysztof
What an adorable little green tree frog you captured. The detail is really sharp, colours are rich and vivid. Nicely composed and good note. The little frog looks so cozy on the leaf.

Hej Krzysiek!

Swietna galeria!

Ta fotka jest super! Rzekotka wyglada na niesamowicie zrelaksowana. Zgadzam sie z Grzeskiem - w jakis dziwny sposob strasznie przypomina kota!
Zdjecie jest bardzo dobre technicznie i, moim zdaniem, takie mikroskopijne przepalenia to nie problem. Nie ma co byc za bardzo przewazliwiomym na ich punkcie ;-)

Pozdrownienia!
Monika

Rzekotka siedzi na liściu jakiegoś łopianu Arctium sp. Piękne zdjęcie, prawie wyłącznie zielona kolorystyka i to mi się podoba. Pozdrawiam,
