Country side landscape

Hello!
Silhouette of old aplle-trees standing alone among meadows and fields are very typical for landscape in this part of Poland.
Many of the agrocultural areas are now standing unused but are very nice place to visit with the camera.
Black and white technicque was in my opinion better way to present this view beacuse still nature is asleep and dominating colours of landscapes are browns and yellows.
Picture taken using tripod and CPL.
Some post processing work using layers, working also on highlights and shadows to improve contrast.
Hope You like the effect.
Thanks a lot for sharing and have a nice rest of a day! |

Hello Adrian,
Though I'm not a fan of B&W I can see that it can be used to good effect.
The FG trees are well silhoutted in this fine composition and the stand of birches in the BG gleam with their white trunks in the BG forest to add a touch of life to the composition.
Nice, but I would still have preferred colour...
TFS and best regards,
Ivan
Hi Adrian,
Nice black & white but I feel it lacks a bit of contrast, also tried different framing - please see my workshop. Good composition, I like how you filled the frame, best regards,
Tom
Hello Adrian
Yes, for this picture,B-W was a good option. And I saw many times this kind of landscape in Romania, almost similar, with old trees on the field, but I never thought to try a b-w version. Well done and TFS!
