[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello
There was no real winter here (I regret that, but I can't help with that), but now it seems that spring is coming to Poland. Today I went for Sunday's walk and it was some 13 celcius degree in the shadow so some insects appeared.

In the picture you can see the first one that I saw.

That is a representative of family Meloidae. It is the most probably male of Meloe proscarabeus - oil beetle (but if I'm not right correct me). The characteristic feature of this genus is the fact that it has reduced first pair of wings and elythrae (the second pair of wings) are reduced and overlapping in front. These insects when frightened release a smelly and oily fluid.
Meloe proscarabeus is bluish black and males have kinked antennae.

What concerns the technical things with the picture:
- cropping
- changing levels
- rotating 90 degrees right
- sharpening.

Thanks for attention
Ania

Ciao Ania,
una bella foto, estremamente nitida e a fuoco, specialmente su torace, capo e antenne.
Grazie,
Marcello

Hej!
Tak, zdecydowanie jest to Meloe proscarabaeus! Czyli jak widac wiosna juz przyszla!!! I niech tak zostanie ;)
Co do techniki to troche bym tu popracowal nad "punktem widzenia" (moze lekko z boku?) i glebia ostarosci (praktycznie wszystkie odnoza sa poza jej zasiegiem).
Pozdrawiam,
Radek

PS. Swego czasu ten sam gatunek prezentowalem tutaj ;>

Hello Ania

Excellent clarity here.
The texture of this insect is wonderful, like leather.
The water droplet on the back is an interesting touch.
Very well illuminated ,the colours are bright.

Gracias por tus amables comentarios Ania. Tu toma elegante, con buen encuadre y formato. Algunos detalles de ella son muy interesantes, como las antenas y también la gota de agua encima de su torax.
