So, World Cup Finals are over! Everyone knows that France was the best team :-) Poor Zinedine, I don't know why he acted that way. Red card in farewell game isn't best thing to receive. Anyway, very dramatic game, I supported France, but life is hard :-(

Picture taken during our todays trip to Jeziorsko Lake, about 70km from Lodz.

Jeziorsko reservoir:

Site description A storage reservoir (16 km by 3.5 km) in the lowland valley of the unregulated Warta river, between Skand Warta towns. Meadows and pastures adjoin the reservoir near Proboszczowice and Dzierz¹¿na villages. Its shoreline is formed by natural valley slopes, side dams (which block the mouths of the Teleszyna and Pichna rivers), and also backwater dams, which limit the flooding area when the water-level is at its highest (maximum area is 4,200 ha). The reservoir bottom was not modified before flooding and, when the water-level is low (minimum area 1,700 ha), a varied terrain with scattered small hollows is exposed. The southern part of the reservoir, which floods only during times of high water, is occupied by a mosaic of meadows and willow Salix scrub with groups of partly dead trees. Highest water-levels are reached in April and May, followed by a slow fall.

Hi Greg,
Agreed, a red card was not a good farewell for Zizou and his behaviour was a little crazy. I supported Italy, so after England's failures it was a good night.

Nice shot :-) I would have cropped the top so the space between the birds and the edge of the frame was similar to the bottom, maybe just a little wider.

Only 2 years to the Euro championships :-)

Have a good week.
Cheers,
Adrian

Oh well, that is all over now and Italy is the winner, this year.
Are those birds showing us that the tune of "La Marseillaise"? They do look a bit sad and sombre... Good find Greg.
It's been an exciting couple of weeks - now what do we look at?

Hurrah - Le Tour de France is on...

Vive le Tour!!

Hello Grzegorz.

Hello Greg, excllent colors, Bg, POV DOF perfect simple shopt, Nice composation, TFS Kyle

Hello Greg,
Since I'm not a big fan of neither France not Italy, I had a peaceful evening yesterday ;-)
As for the picture, I think it's great becuase of it's simplicity. I agree with Adrian about framing, less space from top would improve it. I have feeling the picture could've been a little brighter too.
Overall, very interesting post!
VERY WELL DONE!

This one looks like a musical pentagram with some notes on it. Nice composition my friend.
About the final, I was supporting my Italian friends, so I was happy with the result. About Zidane, he should have thought about it before putting his team is such a situation.
Regards, Felipe.

Hello Greg,
Interesting capture, well seen and composed.Yes life is hard,i supported Brazil,but....:( Excellent work!
TFS...:-)

Hi Greg !
I love this picture, these birds look like some kind of music partition. Nice silhouettes, and a beautiful cloudy sky in the BG, looks a bit sad and dramatic... just like my mood today, after France has lost in World Cup. Such a deception ! And Zidane's behaviour was big deception too... But we're 2nd, and after all that's not so bad ! :-)
Valérie.

Bonjour,
On dirait presque une portée de musique.

Hi Grzegorz.
Despite of everything (I mean World Cup) it is a very original picture. The nature writes a music. And you have successfully photographed this moment. The shot is well composed and the POV is great. Perfect done.
My best regards,
Alexei.

Hi Greg

I am currently away on holiday and working from my laptop, so my critiques wil be 'short and sweet' for the next few weeks.

Love these guys in the grand stand. Got some empty seats I see. Must have gone for more beer. Great shot. Thank you! :-)

All you need is one more horizontal line, a treble clef, and a time signature and you got yourself a hot musical score, This is a fantastic shot, I love it Grzegorz!
