What an interesting capture! I don't belive i've seen an grasshopper on a waterlily before :)

That's a very unusual place to end up for a grasshopper, and therefore I would suspect it is a Mecostethus grossus that is common near water. It's a very nice sharp shot, beautiful light and a lovely composition.

Hallo Romuald,
the charme of this picture is produced by the nice 'reserved' colours and the light. The composition is excellent. Furthermore, the focus plane is clearly on the grasshopper so that details are visible.
