Photo was taken today, just one hour ago. I am very happy ;-) It is my first photo of this beautiful butterfly

Anthocharis cardamines Orange Tip
In Polish: zorzynek rzezuchowiec ;-)

So named because of the male's bright orange tips to his forewings. The males are a common sight in spring flying along hedgerows and damp meadows in search of the more reclusive female which lacks the orange and is often mistaken for one of the other 'White' butterflies. The undersides are mottled green and white and create a superb camouflage when settled on flowerheads such as Cow Parsley and Garlic Mustard

Wingspan 35-40mm
Flight period: one generation IV-VI
Caterpillars host plants: Cardamine pratensis, Alliaria petiolata, Cardaminopsis arenosa
Habitat: meadows, clarings, forest edges, often close to water
Distribution: Europe, Asia in temperate climate zone

Super, zdecydowanie super! Uspiles go czy ogluszyles? Pieknie sie prezentuje z boku, bardzo ostry, z widocznymi rysunkami na skrzydelkach. Teraz pora na wersje z wieksza iloscia pomaranczowego :-)

Hello Krzysztof,
The Sharpness and DOF are excellent in this portrait of a resting male Orange Tip, the resulting BG being almost ideal to allow the butterfly to show up well. The composition is excellent too. There is really very little negative to say about this fine capture taken today.
Thanks and have a good weekend,
Ivan

Hello Krzysz,
Your very first capture of this little beauty is brilliant!! Considering how difficult it is to find them settled for long enough you did really well! I love the composition, the perfect focussing, the sharp details and the beautiful natural colours.
There seem to be less butterflies here probably due to the long drought, but now it is raining and hopefully more life will emerge!
TFS and all the best wishes, Ulla
