Verdigris agaric /Stropharia aeruginosa/
20 – 100 mm diameter
Pileus intensive bluish-green colour in age fading towards yellow-ochre.
Lamellae whitish, then gray-violet, in age turning to violet-brown; edges white tomentose.
Stipe concolorous with the cap, with well-developed, membranous, quite-persistent ring; below ring with whitish scales, in age naked.
Occurrence - common species. Have happened for second half it flies till November, in all types of forests, on their edges, as and in parks; it likes moist places; it grows on the ground or on rotten remnants of wood, individually or in crowd.
It steps out under names also:
Pratella aeruginosa (Curtis) Gray;
Agaricus aeruginosus Curtis;
Psilocybe aeruginosa (Curtis) Noordel. |
