In the picture you can see Boloria selene (the synonym is Clossiana selene)(dostojka selene in Polish).
Its systematic position is:
Regnum: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Subphylum: Tracheata
Classis: Insecta
Ordo: Lepidoptera
Family: Nymphalidae.
It is rather common butterfly in Poland. Its first generation is possible to find in May-June, the second between July and October in forests, bushes and meadows.

Piekny motyl. Bardzo ladna kompozycja z zielonymi listkami w tle. Jakosc bardzo dobra, troszke szkoda nieostrych koncowek skrzydel. Motyl czesto spotykany, ale ja jakos nie mam do niego szczescia :-)

Hi Ania. Nice image! Good head detail in particular. Stands out well amongst the ferns in a shot impossible to have a blurred or distant back ground. Well done!
