Hi Radomir

This is a very beautiful and flattering post. I am again honored by the dedication and i must say again that i'm very happy that our collaboration is going so well.
This is a splendid dragonfly and i sure would love to see it live once...who knows, mabe one day i'll take a trip to Poland :)
The colors and strong contrast between the yellow and black are simply superb and sure attract a lot of attention! ;)
The details - especially on the head, thorax and legs are outstanding and the vertical composition work terrific!
I'm sorry to hear that so many species od Odonata are on the redlist...but i hope they get enough protection so their population can increase.
BTW...i don't know how many we have, but 72 sounds very well :))

Hello Radomir,
I have not yet seen this dragonfly even though it is present in many parts of Sweden as well as here in Scania. It is called "King dragonfly" in Sweden as I believe it has the longest body of all species in Europe.
Excellent capture showing us great details and the lovely colours. Good composition.

What a perfect picture of high quality. Great POV and DOF. Whole image of insect and greater part trunk are in focus. Colors are amazing too as well as the vertical cropping and nice framing. Superb done and TFS.

Hello Radomir,
Your capture of C. boltoni is of high quality, the flash helping you to illuminte this just right , allowing good sharpness and DOF.
Your note is most interesting and makes me admit with some regret that we do not have any protected species of Dragonfly in Sweden! In fact the total numbers of Protected insect species can be counted on both hands!
This is probably due to the fact that Swedish entomologists believe more in protection of the habitat rather than prohibiting the collection of rare insects.This in itself is fine, but
they argue that if one prohibits collection then one smothers an interest in insects. Of course, I definitely do not agree with this, but that's how it is in Sweden.
Nice that you dedicate this shot to Horia: he is a very valuable member of TN.

Muy buenos detalles, excelentes colores y perfecto foco Radomir para mostrar este hermoso ejemplar con estético punto de vista en conjunción con el encuadre vertical elegido.
A pesar de lo profuso del fondo, la difusión lograda permite que la silueta del animal se despegue del segundo plano.
Correcta asistencia del flash sin producir reflejos indeseables.

Very good details, excellent colors and perfect focus Radomir to show this beautiful specimen with aesthetic point of view in conjunction with the elect vertical framing.
In spite of the profuse of the bottom, the achieved diffusion allows that the silhouette of the animal takes off the background.
Correct assistance of the flash without producing undesirable reflections.

such a fine capture of this "Cordelugaster". Extremely rare in the Netherlands, but in the southeastern part where I live are still some populations left. I hoped to 'shoot' one this summer, but having seen your picture, there's no need anymore...:-) Perfect picture!
