[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [Polish]
Horntail or wood wasp is the common name for any of the 100 non-social species of the family Siricidae, of the order Hymenoptera, a type of xylophagous sawfly. This family was until recently the sole living representative of the superfamily Siricoidea, a group well-represented in early Tertiary and Mesozoic times, but the family Anaxyelidae has recently been linked to this group.

Hello Boguslaw,

This is an interesting insect and you did a good photo catching it when laying egs in the larvaes from the wood. Nice rendering of the insect's colors and very inspired the POV so that the texture of the wood becomes background.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian
