if it's too hot for you, I can send up some snow picrure;-)
Nice close-up with fine compos and DOF.
The detaila are also fine and the colours as well.
Only a small nit, the small part of the flower up in the left corner is a bit distracting in the otherwise clean BG.

Cos mi sie widzi, ze poki co to bedzie moj ostatni komentarz do Twej fotki przed wyjazdem wiec troszke popisze :)
Ciekawa kompozycja, mimo, ze dosc typowa dla zdjec z motylkami. Do tego ladne zdjecie kolorystycznie, zarowno cieple barwy tla jak i bardziej agresywne kolory kwatu. W calosci to daje zywa kompozycje i oto chodzi :)
Brawo takze za "timining", motyl z wysunieta trabka wyglada naprawde super. Ostrosc, glebia i nasycenia jak zawsze bardzo udane.
A co do pogody, to skoro tak lubisz upaly, to najblizszy tydzien bedzie Ci sie z pewnoscia podobal ;>
Serdecznosci i do uslyszenia w sierpniu!

Hi Greg,
Lovely silhouette of this Inachis on an Echinacea. I love these flowers too.
I cannot imagine being in such heat.
I lived on Niue Island in the Pacific when I was a kid and it was hot there, but now I can't handle temperatures much over 30 (24 is ideal for me)
I doesn't get very hot here on the coast, but it doesn't get too cold either.
Suits me well.

Pffffffffffff..............don't want to think of going out myself with such heat. I hate it, but am glad you don't :)
Like thi image very much although it's not showing the more colorful part of the butterfly.
Love the contrast between the darker wing of the butterfly, colorful flower and wonderful soft BG.
The flower and butterfly do stand out greatly against the lighter BG.
Sharpness, details, POV and exposure are perfect.
Personally though, I would have cloned out the small pink spot top left because in my opinion it dos distrect a little and is leading the eye of the main subject, but that's just my opinion ofcourse :)
Also love the vertical line of the flower and butterfly very much.

My favourite Inachis Io on my favourite Echinacea too! The silhouette does look good, but the flower looks even better.

It's been a long time since I last visited your gallery, and there are many wonerful pictures ! I really like the description you hae made in your note, so different from France whre we have only rain, clouds and thunderstorms - sun becomes very rare, here. As for the picture, it is excellent, as always. Excellent details, wonderful composition, and the BG is awesome, such a lovely color ! Very well done !
