Hello Roma,
a nice colour composition. The scene is well presented with the focus just right. Beautiful light. The sharpness could be a bit better.
Best wishes, Peter

I just got my extension tube so I'm just experimenting. I'm trying to get as much aperture as possible so I'm using a higher ISO which causes noise. It think this is an excellent image. Nice and sharp on the stamen and the bee. Well done.
TFS!

Dear Roma,
this is an excellent picture of this Syrphid fly that we don't see often. The composition is interesting and there is good sharpness at the head.
About the extension tubes: They are extending the focal range of your objective. The optical qualities of the objective don't change with the use of tubes; of course you loose light because the greater distance of the objective from the light sensing plane. But supplementary lenses would also absorb some light. I use tubes together with a macro zoom 100 objective. I assume that the objective has been optimized for picture quality at a middle range (say, 70). With the tubes I can always work in this middle range of the zoom. (I have no proof that the pictures are better now, only a feeling).
My bestregards to you,
Dietrich
