This is a young male Roe Deer I ran into while on a walk. I spotted him from a great distance while he was resting.
He didn't spot me as he was looking in totally different direction.
He must have been very inexperienced because he didn't turn around for a couple of minutes which it took me to approach him this close. Only when I started sooting did he realize he was not alone.
Luckily for him I wasn't a poacher.
This Deer is regrowing his antlers which he had lost in the winter. They are still covered with fur. |
