You have also used the ambient light to perfection; the subject seems to be illuminated by a spotlight.

Fantastic in every respect shot. How can you reach so wide DOF using extended tubes? Details and subject of the fine insect and so attractive ear is incredible. Lights/ colours and beautifulness of the BG are great too. This is my new favorite shot. Thanks and Bravo.

Your sympetra come out earlier than ours. A great sharp capture of a male S. sanguinum in a fine pose on the grass seed-head and you composed it excellently to make the grass horizontal and the darter's body diagonal.
